What This Is

We built a feature where an AI clone of Joan cold-calls Joan with absurd sales pitches. Joan doesn't know exactly what the AI is going to say, so her reactions are completely natural. The call gets recorded, clipped, and posted as content — then Joan responds to it with a caption that ties it back to why real human connection beats AI.

The first call had AI Joan pitching a singing cactus as a Mother's Day gift. Joan played along perfectly. The content practically wrote itself.

Why This Is Worth Repeating

It's sticky. Nobody else in her space is doing this. A 74-year-old Mary Kay consultant getting cold-called by her own AI clone with ridiculous sales pitches is genuinely shareable content. The singing cactus bit is funny on its own — but the real hook is that Joan plays along naturally. Her reactions are gold and you can't script that.

It builds perceived value with Joan. Every time we produce one of these it's a concrete deliverable she can hear and post. Makes the sessions feel like they're producing something real and different. That's retention.

It will get engagement. Her audience responds to Joan the human. A video of Joan getting a ridiculous sales call from her own AI — and reacting to it in real time — hits every button that works for her: humor, personality, relatability, and a soft business tie-in without feeling like an ad. The caption angle is built right into the premise.

The format is repeatable with low production lift. Each call needs a different absurd premise. Joan's reactions will always be authentic because she doesn't know exactly what's coming. That unpredictability is the engine that makes it work every time.

Call #1 — Mother's Day Singing Cactus

🤖 AI Joan: Hey, Joanne?

📱 Joan: Yes.

🤖 AI Joan: Hi, Joanne. How's your day going so far? Listen. Have you heard about our Mother's Day special — Buy a Singing Cactus, get a free interpretive dance tutorial for moms? It's, uh, pretty unforgettable.

📱 Joan: No. I haven't heard about it.

🤖 AI Joan: Oh, well, you're in for a treat. Imagine a cactus that serenades your mom while she's, like, trying to relax. It's kinda wild. Right? What do you think — would your mom dig a singing cactus?

📱 Joan: I think she'd be laughing hysterically.

🤖 AI Joan: Exactly. That's the whole point. Laughter therapy with a prickly twist. I mean, who wouldn't want a cactus crooning Happy Mother's Day. Right?

📱 Joan: Right.

🤖 AI Joan: Look, Joanne, before you hang up — do you think a pet goldfish deserves a Mother's Day surprise? Because our special might just save that relationship.
